The Results

I placed 2nd last night and very happy about it. The woman that won attends my old church and has been doing Karaoke for awhile and deserved to win. She won $500, a nights stay at Grand Casino, 2 tickets to the concert, Opening for the Rockin' Road House tour and two meal vouchers. As a finalist (top 10) we each got tickets to the same show and 2 buffet vouchers at Grand Casino (where the concert is taking place.) Most of you who know my husband knows that he was just about to pee his pants with excitement when he found out that I won 2 meal tickets.

I called the winner this morning and gave her my two tickets to the show so she could take her kids (5 of them (including a foreign exchange student)) as well as her husband. She said that she has spent most of the morning trying to round up tickets to take them. I felt that I wouldn't enjoy the show as much as her family would seeing her up there and I would have wanted someone to do that for my family when I opened for JoDee Messina..."do unto others."
